GROUP WORKSHOPS

Join Karen in Lanark for a day of rag rugging, or give a session as a gift.

Each participant will be given all materialsand equipment needed to start a small rag rug. You'll learn how to:

select and prepare fabrics
use tools such as a hook and proddy effectively
hook fabric through hessian
prepare a rug for hanging.

You'll leave with the skills to carry on rugging at home. If you don't finish your piece on the day, you'll be able to borrow what you need to complete your piece. For a small deposit you can take away a frame and hook to keep you going and send it back in a month.

The cost for each participant is £40 for a five hour session..

Groups will have between 3 and 10 rag ruggers.

The minimum age is 12 and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Payment in full will be taken to secure a place. A session can be rescheduled or
